We've had this pattern for a while, but it's always a winner - and now it's yours to print at home for free! This beginner-friendly pencil pot, plant pot cover or storage container is a perfect gift or homeware piece. We put some markers in the one pictured, but we've also made them as pots for cactuses and toilet roll storage in the bathroom.

Once you have the basics down, it can be made in different sizes, including to fit any plant pot. Any plastic indoor pots can have a super inexpensive upgrade, or if you're gifting a houseplant (my gift of choice for a housewarming) a fabric pot cover is a really nice way to elevate it.
Just remember to remove when the plant is being watered, and use a plastic bag or tray to protect the fabric.

This pattern is reversible, totally customisable, and nice and easy to make. This is a simple introduction to making bag shapes and interfacing, too.
